Viewing your Library Account

All registered borrowers may view their own library record from the Library Website. This allows you to

  • view your personal information
  • see what items are checked out to you
  • choose how to receive your notices
  • renew eligible items
  • view the status of holds on materials
  • cancel holds you have placed
  • view outstanding charges
  • pay your fines online
  • save catalog searches and be notified of new materials on that subject
  • create a reading history.

Problem with your account?

Patrons whose record has expired, who have received a second notice, or who owe more than $5.00 in fees will not be able to borrow or use the Library databases until those fees have been paid.

Damaged, lost, or billed materials

All borrowers are expected to pay for damaged materials or equipment, lost items, and items which have been billed.

Books and audiovisual materials (except videos) from the General, Juvenile, Pamphlet, New Book, Graphic Novel, Paperback, and Music collections

Claims returned

If there is an item on your Library record which you believed to be returned, please contact Circulation Services to initiate a "Claims Returned."

Payment of fees

Library fines and fees may be paid in person at the Circulation Desk using cash, check, or credit/debit cards. Fines may also be paid online with a credit card by accessing your Library account or by phone at 630-942-2106. Borrowers who do not pay their fines or fees will be blocked from further use of the Library and its services. Students will have a hold placed on their C.O.D. records that will prevent them from registering or receiving transcripts. In addition, any patron with unpaid billed items may be referred to a collection agency. You may always check what money is owed by viewing your Library record.

Privacy

The Library values the privacy of our borrowers. For that reason we cannot answer questions about accounts other than your own. Thanks for your understanding.
