College of DuPage Veterans Association
A club dedicated to fostering a community for veterans at College of DuPage, advocacy pertaining to veteran's issues and service to the larger community. We are a non partisan organization open to all students who are interested in Veteran Affairs.
DuPage County Veterans Assistance
The VAC of DuPage is distinct unit of local government created by State Law and funded by DuPage County.The VAC is an annual one-time emergency assistance program designed to help veterans that find themselves in need of financial assistance. They provide help with bills and expenses and provide advocacy for veterans in DuPage county.
Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs
The IDVA is dedicated to providing the veterans of Illinois with the services and benefits they have earned. It gives information on benefits, local assistance programs, and scholarships.

Center for Women Veterans
Provides news and link of particular interest to female veterans.
Women in the Military & Women Veterans
As part of the Women's Research & Education Institute, they provide a biannual publication, Women in the Military – Where They Stand, which has played a defining role for women soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen and Coast Guardsmen as they serve their country.
National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder The Center aims to help U.S. Veterans and others through research, education, and training on trauma and PTSD.
Military Handbooks
This site is run by Grantham University and provides free military handbooks to active and retired military personnel. The handbooks are easy to read, down-loadable PDFs and cover such topics as benefits, retirement planning, education benefits, and career decisions.
Veteran's and Military Health
From the U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health, this portal provides trust-worthy information on health related issues pertaining to veterans. This site offers information on many topics including PTSD, insurance coverage, clinical trials, and mental health. It also includes links to videos, glossaries, journal articles, directories and organizations.
EBenefits
eBenefits is your one-stop shop for online benefits-related tools and information. This portal is designed for Wounded Warriors, Veterans, Service Members, their families, and their caregivers. eBenefits provides two main services. It's a catalog of links to information on other websites about military and Veteran benefits. And it provides a personalized workspace called My eBenefits which gives quick access to all the online tools now integrated into eBenefits - tools that let you do things like apply for benefits, download your DD 214, and see your benefits status online.
National Veterans History Project
The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
Illinois Veterans History Project
Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White initiated the Illinois Veterans' History Project to create a permanent record of the names and stories of Illinois war veterans and civilians who served our state and country during war, so that their contributions will not be forgotten.
Illinois Warrior Assitance Program
The Illinois Warrior Assistance Program provides free and confidential assistance for returning Illinois Veterans. Proudly offered by the State of Illinois, our goal is to help service members and their families deal with the emotional challenges they may be facing as they transition back to their daily lives.
Veterans Care
Veterans Care Program is a program designed to provide comprehensive, affordable healthcare to Illinois' uninsured veterans. The Veterans Care Program covers those veterans who have the least access to reliable healthcare. These are the veterans who cannot currently access Veterans Health Administration's benefits and who meet specific income requirements.
Veteran Owned Business Directory
This is a comprehensive, user friendly directory of small, medium and large businesses owned by veterans, active duty military, reservists and service disabled veterans.
Midwest Shelter for Homless Veterans
Located in Wheaton, the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is a not-for-profit transitional living facility that provides assistance to U.S. veterans of any era for the opportunity to return to useful and productive lives by providing them with the skills for independent living.
Center for Disease Control Veterans Health Page Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is involved in protecting the health of U.S. military personnel and veterans. In fact, CDC was established to address concerns about malaria among our troops during World War II. In more recent years, CDC's National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) has taken the lead for HHS in addressing the health concerns of veterans of the Vietnam War and the Gulf War, and NCEH is working with the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to protect the health of our future military forces.

Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline
The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has founded a national suicide prevention hotline to ensure veterans in emotional crisis have free, 24/7 access to trained counselors. Veterans can call the Lifeline number, 1-800-273-TALK (8255), and press "1" to be routed to the Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline.
