Picture Your Library Is Back!
And it's the READ Poster Edition
Last year we asked you for Library photos to fill our brand new Flickr page and you responded with over 80 fantastically creative photographs of your favorite people, places and things in the Library. Your photos have graced presentations, promotional material and even the Library's homepage!
This year we have a new challenge for you
Create your own READ mini poster and enter into a drawing to sit for a photograph that will be turned into a full-sized READ poster. This full-sized poster will join the Library's collection of faculty, staff and student READ posters currently on display in the Library. The winner's poster will also be featured on our homepage.
To create your READ mini poster, just use the READ Mini Posters generator (at http://tinyurl.com/readposters) to upload a photograph of yourself and your favorite book. Then choose from one of four poster styles and click CREATE. Once you've saved your mini poster, send it to us using the Picture Your Library submission form.

We'll add your mini posters to the Library's Flickr page where registered Flickr users can add comments and tags to any photos.

Rules
- Photos should be submitted electronically with the following information:
• Name of Photographer
• Contact information
• Description of Photo (optional)
- This contest is free and open to everyone-- students, community members, faculty, staff, administrators.
- Photographers will retain original copyrights to their photos.
- Entrants grant College of DuPage Library permission to use their photo(s) in any publication, marketing or fundraising materials and on the COD Library web site. All photos used will receive captioning where allowed.
- Only submissions that adhere to the contest rules and submission guidelines are eligible to compete.
Permissions
By submitting photos to Picture Your Library, you agree to the following statements.
I do hereby make the following statements, releases and assurances to the College of DuPage Library:
- I am the person who took the photograph(s) submitted, I have full rights to the photograph(s), or I have written consent of the photographer to submit the photograph(s).
- All models or persons contained in the photograph(s) have given me (or the photographer) their consent in writing for full use of this photo(s), including use and publishing in this contest and the other uses stated herein.
- COD Library has non-exclusive rights to use and publish the photograph(s) on its website or in publications such as (but not limited to) brochures, newsletters, fact sheets, slideshows, desktop wallpaper, and for other similar marketing and promotional uses. COD Library recognizes that I, or the person I designate, owns the image or any copyright to the photograph(s).
- In each publication of the photograph(s), COD Library will give full credit to the owner. I will advise COD Library of all copyrighted photos I submit so that COD Library can show the copyright symbol and credit for each such photograph published.
- I agree to save and hold harmless COD Library from any dispute arising related to use or ownership of any photographs I submit. I further release COD Library from any liability whatsoever that arises from the lawful use of the photographs I submit.
- I agree to work in good faith with COD Library to promptly resolve any problems or disputes that arise due to my submission of these photograph(s).
- I understand that entries that fail to comply with the Official Contest Rules and Submission Guidelines will be disqualified.
I have read and consent to the content contained in the Official Contest Rules, Submission Guidelines and Entry Form.
