The Library has purchased or subscribes to a number on online books. Here are some of the current resources and how they may be accessed.
Collections of Online Books
- NetLibrary
- Over 1,300 books on a large range of topics have been purchased from NetLibrary. Each book may be found by searching the Library catalog by subject, author, or title such as you would search for any other material. To see all the titles do a keyword search on NetLibrary.
- ABC-Clio
- ABC-Clio publishes quality reference materials on a variety of subjects. They are particularly strong in the humanities. We have over 30 titles that can be located through the Library catalog.
- Gateway to the Classics
- Part of the Encyclopedia Britannica Online, these are full text versions of classics throughout time.
- Literature Research Center
- Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies and criticism of authors from every age and literary discipline from some of the most respected reference sources.
Individual Titles
- American National Biography
- Includes full text biographies on people from all eras who have influenced and shaped American history and culture.
- Encyclopedia Britannica Online
- More than just the encyclopedia, it includes articles, media, and links to reputable websites.
- Oxford Art Online
- Oxford Art Online provides the full text of The Dictionary of Art and The Oxford Companion to Western Art along with images of artistic works and links to selected Web sites.
- Oxford Music Online
- Oxford Music Online contains the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians,The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz as well as sound files and links to web sites.
- Standard and Poor's Net Advantage
- This is an expanded online version of several Standard and Poor's products including S&P's Industry Surveys.
