Linking to E-books

Locating Electronic Books

The Library provides access to over 2500 electronic books in a variety of topics. To look for e-books in your subject area, simply visit the Library catalog page and click on the Ebook button to browse, or follow the instructions on how to narrow your search to just your area of interest. View this video on how to do an e-book search: video.gif Search for E-books video

The Library also subscribes to a vast number of e-books that we are in the process of cataloging. Check this page for e-book collections in the areas of Humanities, Computer Science, Chemistry, Science and Technology: Library e-book collections.

Linking to Electronic Books

There are two main steps to linking to books in BlackBoard:

  1. Identify the persistent link for the book, or book chapter as below.
  2. Copy this link to your clipboard for pasting into BB.

We do not recommend that you download article, chapter or e-book PDFs from the Library databases and upload them into Blackboard for students.

Go to a printable step-by-step guide for adding Library materials to your course.
