Linking to Articles

Finding Online Journals and Magazines

The Library subscribes to many article databases that contain online full text of journal, magazine and newspaper articles in a variety of topics. Browse the Library databases by Subject

Most allow the direct linking to the full text of articles from your online course or you can create a link to the results of a search in order to offer your students several relevant articles!

You can also link directly to an individual database search screen to have your students search it themselves. Please use this list of database links.

Linking to Online Journal, Magazine and News Articles

There are two main steps to linking to articles:

  1. Identify the persistent link for the article citation, as below.
  2. Copy this link to your clipboard for pasting into BB.

We do not recommend that you download article PDFs from the Library databases and upload them into Blackboard for students.

Go to a printable step-by-step guide for adding Library materials to your course.
