The Benedictine University Library and the Library at College of DuPage entered into a reciprocal borrowing agreement in October 2004. Current students, faculty, and staff will be permitted to borrow circulating materials from each other's libraries. The following Information is for College of DuPage affiliates.
Benedictine University affiliates, please check How to Get a Library Card on the College of DuPage Library website. You will have the same borrowing privilege as College of DuPage Community Borrowers, but no off-campus access to licensed databases or Interlibrary Loan privileges.

Present an Illinois driver's license and your current class schedule.
Fill out a short application form at Benedictine University Library.
Your driver's license and current schedule must be presented each time you borrow. Note: You must present your entire schedule, not just the part labeled Student ID.
Present a current COD staff identification card. Fill out a short application form at Benedictine University Library.
Your COD staff id card will then be used as your borrower's card.
All materials that normally circulate to Benedictine University's "public library patrons" are available to eligible College of Dupage students, faculty, and staff. This does not include reference books, periodicals, items in special collections, audiovisual, multimedia and IMC items, or equipment. Those items are available for use in the Library. Refer to the Library's website for more information.
College of DuPage borrowers do not have off campus access to databases licensed to Benedictine University.
Interlibrary loan is not available through Benedictine. Interlibrary loan requests by COD borrowers can be made online through the COD Library or by contacting the COD Reference Desk.
The individual borrower is responsible for all fines and/or bills for late, lost, damaged, or non-returned items. COD students with fines and or bills may have a hold placed on their library record and at registration and records. COD faculty and staff are subject to the normal collection policies of Benedictine University.
The Library has a collection of 85,000 book titles and subscriptions to 676 periodicals. The subject strengths include the humanities: religious studies, literature, history and the sciences, along with other liberal arts subjects.
